Formerly First Clarinetist with the Chicago Civic Opera Co., St. Louis, Cleveland and Philadelphia Symphony Orchestras, Louis DeSantis was one of the finest and most lyrical clarinet artists of his generation. Following his untimely death in 1940, these wonderful etudes were out of print. The DeSantis family owned Louis’ copy with corrections he intended to make in the second printing, and clarinetist Russell Harlow was able to have this corrections added to the new printing, now available through Clarinet Central.
